Here, we're going to look specifically at , one of the biggest tech companies on the planet and the manufacturer responsible for many of the most notable gadgets of 2024 (and many components in other non-Samsung gadgets, too). It's been a really, really busy year for Samsung. We've had the usual flurry of smartphones, laptops, and TVs, and the company has even found time to launch a new smart ring and a new high-end smartwatch. Which of these products impressed us here at TechRadar, and which didn't? Let's dig in. There's been a lot of good from Samsung this year. Of the flagship phones launched in January, the was undoubtedly the highlight: we described it as a phone that "offers more than any other phone and somehow manages to improve upon last year’s Ultra in every way" in our (while awarding it 4.5 stars out of 5). Later in the year, we were just as impressed with the . Our calls it "an excellent foldable" that takes the form factor "closer to perfection": it's powerful, well-built, versatile, and, of course, very expensive (4.5 stars out of 5 again). Greeted with enthusiastic applause as they graced the BBC ballroom dancefloor, their vocal performance, however, seemed to leave several fans "underwhelmed". Iconic for their noughties pop anthems like Too Lost In You, Freak Like Me and Push The Button, the trio donned coordinated black ensembles for their Strictly spectacle preceding the results announcement. Nonetheless, their live rendition provoked a spectrum of reactions on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. One particularly unsparing fan wrote: "Sugababes couldn't be more out of tune if I sang for them #Strictly." Another viewer blunt steered clear of future concerts: "Well, I won't be booking tickets for Sugababes any time soon #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing." A third spectator labelled the appearance as "Sorry, but the Sugababes were totally underwhelming," reports OK! . Meanwhile, another lamented: "I like the Sugababes but this performance is bad #StrictlyComeDancing." On the flip side, someone else expressed admiration: "Loved the medley from the Sugababes, some fantastic songs...#strictly." With similar enthusiasm, another declared: "The looks, the vocals, the talent... the original SUGABABES are everything and more... #StrictlyComeDancing." Amidst their performance, the audience and viewers also enjoyed a dance segment featuring professional dancer Neil Jones and his partner Nancy Xu on the ballroom floor. After a thrilling performance, viewers were on the edge of their seats to find out which celebrity would advance in the dance contest and who would be sent home. Ultimately, it was EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick who missed the cut for the quarter-final, becoming the ninth star to exit the stage. The 30 year old soap star and his dance partner Michelle Tsiakkas found themselves in the nail-biting dance-off against 38 year old Olympian Montell Douglas and her partner Johannes Radebe. Following a tense second performance from both duos, the panel of judges reached a unanimous decision to save Montell and Johannes, resulting in Jamie and Michelle's departure. Jamie lauded Strictly Come Dancing as "magic" and expressed his deep appreciation for the entire team behind the scenes. He said: "Not just everyone who you see in front of the camera, these four here (the judges), but everyone who works on this show, I have such a good bond and relationship with and that's what made me want to do this show, it's the people, not what I'm doing. I've had the best time." "We have laughed like you wouldn't believe. I have nothing but the utmost respect for everyone on the show, so thank you," he further added. Albion dominated for large periods on a foggy evening at the Amex Stadium and hit the woodwork inside four minutes through Julio Enciso. Bees goalkeeper Mark Flekken also made a string of important saves before being forced off injured in the 36th minute, albeit his replacement Hakon Valdimarsson was rarely tested on his Premier League debut. Brentford, who remain without a top-flight away win this term, had an early Yoane Wissa finish ruled out for offside following VAR intervention but barely threatened, despite an improved second-half showing. The Seagulls remain 10th ahead of Monday’s trip to Aston Villa, with Thomas Frank’s visitors a position and two points below moving towards their New Year’s Day showdown with Arsenal. Brighton have plummeted from second place to mid-table amid a poor run of form which has increased scrutiny on head coach Fabian Hurzeler. Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke produced a crucial block to deny Wissa as the west London club began the second half brightly before Christian Norgaard’s ambitious effort deflected wide amid groans from increasingly restless home fans. Hurzeler responded with a triple change, introducing Yasin Ayari, Simon Adingra and Yankuba Minteh in place of O’Riley, Gruda and Mitoma. Albion forward Pedro then escaped punishment in the 76th minute after swinging an arm at Bees substitute Yehor Yarmoliuk without making contact before defender Ben Mee became the second visiting player to depart injured.
